one of Peter King’s reasons for arguing that the Eagles won’t even make it to the NFC Championship game:
"I don’t trust the corners."
Good call, you jackass. Havng the best secondary in the NFL for the past 10 years has really crippled this team. Maybe your hero Jake fucking Plummer will pick them apart. Hell, Sheldon and Lito are no Carnell Lake, his vote for MVP in ‘96, when every other writer in the country voted for Brett Favre.
The best part of sports journalism is the absolute, total lack of accountability for any moron thing you write, pretend to write, or pretend to have witnessed. At what other job can you be wrong 85% of the time, and be praised as the best at what you do?

"Writing turns you into somebody who’s always wrong. The illusion that you may get it right someday is the perversity that draws you on. What else could? As pathological phenomena go, it doesn’t completely wreck your life." –Philip Roth

well, that cat fell asleep in the yard in which it was trapped. I guess I was more interested in than even he/she was.

some government-types in Jersey are arguing that the New Jersey Devils need to change their name, because it’s symbolically upsetting.

Apparently my away message archive is back up and running….. boy, you all missed some brilliance the past few days. I mean, there must have been at least 10 messages saying "writing." and a couple saying "asleep." Hope you were able to make it through.

all this hype over female Indy 500 driver Danica Patrick just confirms that professional sports coverage is probably the most sexist institution remaining in our country.
Why don’t all the writers just line up, pat her on the head, hand her an oatmeal cookie, and say "Wow! You’re doing a great job of overcoming that lack of a penis!"
