This is pretty much the classiest glass I’ve ever seen.

surprise of the day: there was a semi-long line at the phillies season ticket sales office. Supposedly they get an average of 1100 ticket-related calls per day.

last week of classes– emails and revised papers pouring in

my shirt smells like syrup (due to an awesome-smelling candle at aunt-in-law’s house), my pants smell like applewood smoke, and my hair smells a little like meatballs. There’s about a 60% chance I’m going to eat myself by the end of the night.

3 straight weeks in which the Eagles played their best football in the 4th quarter. That’s unexpected.

weirdly unenthused about the likely prospect of the Eagles going to 7-4.

cleaning up the Thanksgiving II mess so that we can make it an Eagles mess.

4 hours into turkey-smoking, about 4 hours remaining (hopefully).

wondering why my HDMI cable hasn’t arrived yet.

pretty much everything I do for the next 7 hours is going to be turkey-related.

up at 7, starting the smoker up around 7:30, then mostly sitting around the fire all day.

at the mall for some reason that I still don’t quite understand.

whatever the dogs rolled in after sneaking out of the yard, they sure do smell now.

watching the NFL Replay of Cowboys-Dolphins on Thanksgiving, mainly to see Leon Lett screw up. Interestingly, the announcers are joking mid-game about what a doofus Lett is, as if they know what’s going to happen.

This ESPN “30 for 30″ stuff really is pretty good. Not that I’m going to watch them all (I don’t care about Len Bias, for example), but the ones I’ve seen have been really interesting.

all kinds of exciting stuff in the mail today. no, i can’t tell you what it is.

The original (self-imposed) deadline for the rough draft of this book was today. Deadline not met (unless I write 120 pages in the next 4 hours).
