Holy crap, Rudolph’s Shiny New Year is even worse than I would have thought after reading this incomprehensible description:

good news: my car still works, despite having sat unmoved in my driveway since about 3 days before the snowstorm, and not having been shoveled out

better news: I learned this because I had to go to the bank to deposit my fantasy football winnings

more better news: I was also mailing out the final (for real, I think) edits of my book (the old one, not the new one)

bad news: in the interim, a big section of the siding on my house appears to have just fallen off. Next house will not be 90+ years old.

glad I stayed up to watch the second half of this Vikings-Bears game

watching the Vikings game, hoping my dog stops choking or coughing or whatever the hell she’s been doing for 3 days now. Maybe time to get to the vet

i kind of hate how the NFL has made it near-impossible for defenses to have a chance. They way they call games, every defense is at a severe disadvantage at all times– i kind of miss dominant defenses.

not a ton of writing done today, but still a successful day in that I overcame the crazy panic that ensued when it appeared that I’d somehow lost 80 pages of my book.

celebrating my impending fantasy football championship by having some cookies and milk.

i have to admit, it’s a little bit unsettling that now verizon can track me via gps at all times as long as my phone is on.
