Just had to dig out a path for the dogs for the third time today, because the snow drifts are officially taller than even the biggest welsh corgi the vet has ever seen.

the dogs used to like playing in the snow, but early returns indicate that they’re curmudgeonly about that now too.

I’ve got some questions about the whole Cliff Lee thing, but I’m really enjoying the insane 180 that Phillies fans have done re: their feelings on the front office. Actual comments heard on the radio in the past 36 hours:

“I’m sick of this team never doing what it takes to win!”
“If they don’t feel like putting a winner on the field, why don’t they just sell the team?”
“They’re too cheap to do what it takes to win!”
“I’m sick of losing the world series to the Yankees or the Red Sox every year!”
“Ya know, it’s just sickening, the way they don’t care about the fans.”
“They think they’re so much smarter than everyone else. The Eagles are going for it, so why can’t they?” (I’m guessing the guy who said this was saying the exact opposite in 2008).

If there is indeed a hell, I imagine most time there is spent crammed into the corner of a MegaStore in the mall while sweaty strangers literally breath down your neck so that they can get a slightly closer look at some stupid trinkets.

I really should have started cooking this earlier

headed to the mall– hoping to get in and out before it’s too crowded.

Slept ’till 9:30, which is the latest I’ve slept in a long time. In my defense, I was out till 1, then had to walk 2 miles home from the train station. Christmas break!

I’ve found many benefits to going to the gym regularly. Not included among them is the fact that I’ve heard the new Miley Cyrus song enough times that I’m wasting brainpower trying to parse the awful lyrics.

not to be a downer after such an exciting game, but I sure do hope the Eagles learn how to tackle before the playoffs.
