not to sound too much like an evening news anchor, but could running barefoot actually be better than running in sneakers? Click here to find out.

I don’t know about running. But for about 2 years my feet, especially my right heel had been hurting, sometimes terribly.

I’ve recently (about 6 or 7 months ago) switched to wearing almost exclusively These Vivo Barefoot shoes: http://www.terraplana.com/aqua-p-946.html?colour=141 Which are basically slippers with a 3 millimeter kevlar sole. And my feet feel great. I do notice them getting tired or sore sometimes especially when I do lots of walking, but no more heel pain.

I initially had become much more conscious of how I walk, no more slamming my heel into the ground. Walk more on the balls of my feet or land with even distribution between my ball and heel, and pushing off with my toes. And now it’s become natural to walk that way.

They are expensive, but worth skipping some meals to avoid chronic foot pain.
